We met for just after 10.00 and lowered 6 bags of sand/dust and a drill bag. The drill bag went down to POT and the other bags got taken through to the Boulder Rift chamber. SE, MK and MO went to the Tooth Dig end. Whilst there we sent the older spoil lower down as well. FB did the awkward spot and those at the dig face took turns clearing mainly mud. Around 12.00 MO and SE had to leave. SH took over from FB and clearing resumed but at a slower pace. Around 13.00 SH, JB and LN went to see TPC taking 3 scaffold bars with them. FB and MK got the drill out and, with MK mostly spectating, FB broke up the last and largest boulder with PFs. SH returned after some time, JB and LN left. FB, SH and MK then took turns poking and scraping at the sediment bank wall at the sharp end. It became apparent there was a strong icy draught coming out of a 1 inch x 1m gap above the sediment leading to a heavily calcited rock blockage ahead. The crowbar pushes through the whole way in places, but alas no black voids. Out for 15.00. Mike.
